A lovely home decor piece made from maple burl.
This piece is naturally hollowed by nature, the exterior of the egg shaped on my wood lathe and finished with a beautiful shine.
The interior of the piece is painted with an acrylic paint called ’24 karat’, which gives a beautiful golden shine on the inside inclusion.
It looks much like a geode that you’d find in stone, but is of course natural wood. 5.5″ x 3.5″, bottom is carved flat to stand and for display purposes.
