4 Nested bowls of spalted ambrosia maple from a neighbors tree in Arab, Alabama.

Ambrosia maple bowls nested inside one another.

I used two Thompson bowl gouges 1/2” and 1/4” with an Ellsworth grind. Turned on August 3,4, & 5th 2021.

Check out the ambrosia stripe running across all 4 bowls when aligned properly! Finished with Mahoney’s Walnut Oil, wet sanded 220-600 with the oil as a lubricant!

Spalted ambrosia maple nesting bowls

This set of Nested Bowl is destined for a charity fundraising auction, The Riley Center, Huntsville, Alabama.

They provide education and assimilation for special needs children 0-21 years of age.

I live to donate, and it satisfies my need to turn.
