Having been a turner for about 4 years, I realized that I’d never turned an egg or a sphere. So, armed with many offcuts, I set about getting that shape right!
Oak, Yew, Elm, Spalted Beech with wormholes and something yellow! These eggs are more turkey sized than chicken but really fun to do.
Displayed in a Spalted Alder bowl.
Finished with Yorkshire Grit, a brand of woodturners abrasive paste, either left unfinished (yew) or a light wax.
