A thin stemmed goblet/chalice from North Alabama, Persimmon w/ a hint of sapwood harvested from a tornado downed tree in 2011.
I used a 1/4 ” bowl gouge and easy hollower #1 w/ ci5 standard cutter. It’s finished by wet sanding to 800 w/ mineral oil preserving the natural colors.
This piece was submitted for our monthly “Eternal Challenge” @ the North Alabama Woodturners meeting. 51 May ’21 First time we have met since Feb ’20.
