Working the curves of this tulipwood dish was a pleasure. Originally it was about 1/4 inch taller, but the extension of the rim became a little too thin while turning. I decided it was best to slim it down and shape the piece down a little more before putting it on the market.

Tulipwood wood turned handmade dish

This tulipwood dish measures about 6.5″ in diameter and 1.25″ high. I finished this dish with combination of mineral oil and wax to give it a shiny finish that feels nice in the hands.
