Woodturned pet urn by Don Hartsaw.  I made this piece about a year ago for a friend that his German Shepard had passed away and he wanted something to store his ashes in.

The woods that I used are walnut, for the body of it, and cherry for the base and lid. I also laser engraved a photo of his dog on to the lid.

The lathe that I have is a 10″ Turncrafter Commander. This little lathe does pretty much everything I need it for. But I am limited to anything 10″ and smaller.

The finish I used on this was boiled linseed oil.
