Hi there, my name is Erika, and I recently started to promote my father’s beautiful woodwork art on Instagram!

Something I recently started to do is that I’m taking my time and truly appreciating what my dad does and what he has been doing for the last 13 years!

We live in New Brunswick, Canada and we have A LOT of Birdseye maple + Purple Heart pieces.

Woodturning from New Brunswick, Canada

My father has always worked in the woods as a grapple slider operator the majority of his life, as that’s what my grandfather ( his dad ) always done ( except with work horses!) It’s all he knows.

He gets up 3am gets ready and ventures out in the woods! That’s why he’s been so lucky bringing burls back home.

He is intensely immersed in that culture and way of life. (and he wouldn’t want it any other way!)

What makes his work so special is that everything he does is truly custom! From going out and finding his own burls to handcrafting these beautiful pieces with his magnificent hands.

Woodturning is what makes my dad the happiest! And seeing that, couldn’t make me more proud!
